Educational Philosophy
Mission Statement
My mantra is, "I make things easy to use." If it is not easy to use, ask me! I will explain and you will learn so much that you will never have to call me again. I strive to empower people with different backgrounds to help themselves. Some people halt and say that they are not "tech-savvy". I think anyone can learn to use technology if they can overcome the strong emotions elicited when technology fails them. Different stakeholders need to have a working knowledge of communications tools. This includes IT staff, administrative leaders, and general support staff. Decision makers who may be involved in budget drafting need reasons they can understand to defend a purchase choice. I want to explain things in such a way that a non-technical person will be able to explain it to someone else. Learning is the independence of individuals on a team. The smarter those around me are, the easier my job will be and the more I will be able to focus on the future.
The intended audience is businesses and organizations that may have a need for a reassessment of communications technology. In the next year, I hope to conduct consulting with such clients, who may need support navigating this unique territory.
