Education
Completed Programs
George Washington University
MA, Educational Technology Leadership, 2023
Final GPA: 3.92. Banner bearer at graduation.
Seeking to bridge the gap between my Audio Engineering degree and my Women's Studies degree, as well as my passion for higher ed, GW offered perhaps the only program that could combine all of this diverse background and put it towards something meaningful. I took the job at GW so that I could pay for grad school and it was the best thing I ever did. Perfect school for me!
Study Abroad
Economics 2012, 2013
Well, there's no free lunch. My Dad asked me to minor in Economics if he was going to pay for school. Not jiving much with VCU's Econ department I took most of my electives abroad. I studied the 2008 financial crisis and its' impact on the European Union. My first course was in London in the summer of 2012, and my next two courses were in Paris, summer of 2013.
Virginia Commonwealth University
BA, Women's Studies / Economics, 2013.
VCU was where I began applying the skills I learned at Omega. As soon as I arrived, I immediately joined the college radio station and began editing podcasts as Production Manager. I worked my way up to General Manager and interned at a local recording studio my senior year.

Academically, I needed to study something fun and move on with my life. I chose Women's Studies because of my love for activism work I had done in DC. I chose Economics as a minor due to the 2008 financial crisis.
Omega Studios' School
Undergraduate certificate, Audio Engineering, 2009
My first completed degree! From 2008-2009, I studied audio engineering at Omega Studios' School of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences. As my first degree, this had the most direct impact on my future work experience. This was the perfect school for me. I received practice hours in studio recording and midi composition, as well as learning music business. I mastered the API, the SSL, and the Neve sound boards. Did you know there are only two blond API boards in the world? Omega has one and at the time (2008), Brian Wilson recorded on the other!
Berklee College of Music
Certificate, Summer Performance Program, 2005
Gained a love of jazz music and pursued performing drums, before switching to vibraphone and more successfully, bass guitar.
Other Schools Attended
2004 - 2013
2004 - 2005
University of Mary Washington
I studied religion and music, later dropping out to attend trade school in an effort to shape myself as a Christian and be more like Jesus.
2005
Northern Virginia Community College
After Mary Washington and after Berklee, I was a little lost and did a semester at NOVA before transferring to Mason. I took an art design class that really stuck with me, as well as Logic, in the Philosophy department.
2006
George Mason University
Mason was not the best fit for me, but they did go to the Final Four the year I was there! I mostly studied History.
2010
Montgomery Community College
After being accepted to VCU, and graduating Omega, I did a semester at MC just to get acclimated to college level courses again while I waited for plans to take shape to make my move from DC to Richmond.
